Mr. Lis is President and Co-Founder of CFS. From January 2000 to August 2005 Mr. Lis was President, CEO & Director of Stream Communications Network & Media Inc., a cable company, where he was directly responsible for taking the company from start up to 60,000 subscribers. From 1993 to 2000 he was President, CEO & Director of Trooper Technologies Inc., an environmental company focused on waste management in Central Europe. During his time with these two companies Mr. Lis personally raised over 30 million USD.
In the early 1980’s, Mr. Lis gained significant experience in the field of corporate finance while employed by Allcorp Corporation, a Vancouver based holding company with stakes in more than 60 operating subsidiaries. During the term of his employment at Allcorp the group raised 1 billion (US) in refinancing operations for companies within its portfolio.
In 1988, Mr. Lis founded International UNP Holdings, an investment company that was used to acquire and finance privatised Polish state enterprises. During his term as President, Mr. Lis personally raised the first 7 million (US) out of the 30 million (US) that UNP Holdings eventually raised for joint ventures in Poland.
Mr. Lis was educated in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1976. He attended Simon Fraser University where he studied business administration and securities.
Mr. Young is co-founder of CFS and has extensive experience working with companies as an independent consultant by providing services and direction for corporate development in the areas of finance, marketing, implementation of business strategies and public relations.
From June 2005 to July 2006, he was Director and Corporate Secretary for Stream Communications Network & Media Inc., a cable company and was responsible for Corporate Development and Public Relations for Stream since October 2000. During his time with Stream the company grew from start up to 65,000 subscribers and raised over 15 million USD by way of private debt and equity to accomplish growth objectives.
Mr. Young has over 13 years experience working as a financial advisor, while providing investment strategies and solutions to individual and corporate clients. He is a graduate of the Certified Financial Planning Education Program from the Financial Advisors Association of Canada and studied Business Administration at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Steve Clark is a registered professional biologist with more than 20 years experience in project management; ecosystem science and management; adaptive management and environmental monitoring; rare and sensitive species assessment; biophysical inventory and assessment; terrestrial and aquatic ecological risk assessment; and ecological restoration and effects mitigation.
Mr. Clark has managed a wide range of environmental projects ranging in size and scope from $5,000 CAD to over $1 million CAD in value. He has led multi-disciplinary teams to successful completion of complicated environmental assessments and contaminated site investigations in British Columbia, Northwest Territories, and across the United States.
For the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, Steve provided the required environmental assessment documentation to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as part of a new federal strategy for integrated wildland fire management planning for woodlots at six reservations in Northern Minnesota. His main technical responsibility was to conduct NEPA environmental assessments in forested habitats to ensure the protection and enhancement of biological and cultural resources, as well as the safety of the local community, during implementation of the wildland fire management strategies. Mr. Clark also worked closely with agency foresters and a fire behavior modeler, and coordinated community surveys and meetings with tribal councils.
Since January 2007 Mr. Clark has been employed as Project Director and Senior Ecologist at Hemmera Envirochem Inc., a Western Canadian consulting company with over 90 consultant’s that provides a broad range of comprehensive services and specialized expertise in environmental science, engineering and management.
Ping is a Certified General Accountant, with over 18 years of professional experience in China and Canada. From 1999 to 2001 Ping was a Senior Staff Accountant with Jones Richards & Company. From 2001 to present Ping has been working as an independent accountant, providing accounting services for several public companies in the communications, IT, environmental and mining sectors.
Ping is a member of the Certified General Accountant’s Association of Canada and speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Mr. Driedger is co-founder of Carbon Friendly Solutions Inc. and has over 30 years experience as an independent business owner. He is currently President and founder of Awsum Corporation an investment company providing investment capital, consulting services and growth strategies to various companies and ventures. In 1976 Mr. Driedger founded Fairview Photo a private company that grew to be an industry leader prior to being sold in 2003. Mr. Driedger graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Agriculture.
Mr. Szamalek is co-founder of Carbon Friendly Solutions Inc. and co-founder of CO2 Reduction Poland Sp. z o.o. and has extensive experience in the environmental and financial sectors. His professional career includes over 25 years as an academic Science Professor at the Warsaw University. During this period Mr. Szmalek has served in various other capacities including; 2005 to 2006 Vice President of Eco-Fund Foundation, Poland. From 2003 to 2005 he served as Secretary of State for the Ministry of Environment, Poland and from 2001 to 2002 he served as Undersecretary to the secretary of state, for the Ministry of Environment. From 1998 to 2001 Mr. Szamalek was Director, National Security Bureau of the President of Poland. 1994 to 1997 he served as Undersecretary to the secretary of state, for the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry in Poland.
Throughout his career Mr. Szamalek has also served as a member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of many organizations including, Bank of Environmental Protection, and the National Fund of Environmental Protection and Water Management.
Mr. Szamalek is the author of over 120 scientific papers in the field of ecological management, international market of mineral commodities and environmental economics. His lectures at Warsaw University include, Renewable Energy Sources, Environmental Economy, Environmental Management, Economic Geology and Geological and Mining law. Mr. Szmalek holds a Master of Science Degree from the Faculty of Geology and the Faculty of Business Management, Poland and received his Ph.D. from the Warsaw University in 1985. He speaks fluent Polish, English and Russian.
Mr. Dziak is co-founder of CO2 Reduction Poland Sp. z o.o. and an expert on environmental conservation including waste, water and environmental management. He is currently a Professor at the Department of International Relations in Poland and works for the Polish Academy of Science.
From 1997 to 2003 Mr. Dziak was President and Vice President of International Eco-Waste Systems in Poland. From 1995 to 1997 he was President of Trooper Technologies Inc. a Canadian environmental company. From 1993 to 1995 Mr. Dziak served as President of the German company LOBBE one of the largest waste management companies in Europe. From 1992 to 1993 he was the General Director of LONGFRANK, the first ever private waste management company in Poland.
During his professional career he has published more than 10 books and papers on environmental management. Mr. Dziak speaks fluent Polish, German and Russian.
Mr. Roslonski is co-founder of CO2 Reduction Poland Sp. z o.o. and has over 15 years experience in various business sectors. During the past 8 years he has been owner and partner of two communication companies in the business of provisioning satellite services in cooperation with Siemens, Sony and Alcatel for Poland. From 1981 to 1989 Mr. Roslonski attended the Warsaw University of Agriculture SGGW-AR for the study of forestry and wood technology and received his Masters degree in 1989. Mr. Roslonski speaks fluent Polish and English along with basic Russian and French languages.
